Coughlin Secures Dominant Aramco Championship Victory

Lauren Coughlin has emerged victorious at the Aramco Championship, claiming a commanding five-shot win as Leona Maguire from Ireland and Nelly Korda tied for second place. Coughlin's triumph at the event in Las Vegas, co-sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour and LPGA Tour, marked her first win in two years and earned her the $600,000 top prize. The 33-year-old American sealed her third LPGA Tour title with a solid level-par final round, finishing the tournament on seven under. Korda, the world No 2, finished two under after shooting a three-over-par 75, while Maguire found a birdie at the 72nd hole to secure a share of second. Coughlin, who had come close to winning at Shadow Creek last year, expressed her relief at finally securing a victory, stating that it meant more to her after a winless period. The tournament drew 38 of the top 40 players in the world rankings, with a $4m prize money, and was characterized by its challenging course, with players comparing it to a major due to the difficulty in scoring birdies.
