Fitzpatrick Takes the Lead After Round Two of the RBC Heritage
Matt Fitzpatrick has taken the top spot on the leaderboard after the second round of the RBC Heritage, finishing with a one-stroke lead after achieving an impressive eight-under-par 63. The English golfer had a remarkable day, making eight birdies without a single bogey, including a notable 36-foot putt on the 15th hole at Hilton Head. Following an opening round of 65, which initially placed him in a six-way tie for third, Fitzpatrick now leads with a total score of 14 under par. Norway's Viktor Hovland trails closely behind in second place, having maintained his position with a second-round score of 65. Meanwhile, overnight leader Ludvig Aberg slipped to a joint-fourth position after encountering three bogeys on the back nine. Scotland's Robert MacIntyre ended the day six shots behind Fitzpatrick with a score of 68, and world number one Scottie Scheffler carded a 67, leaving him seven shots off the lead.
