Fitzpatrick Takes the Lead After Round Two of the RBC Heritage
Matt Fitzpatrick has taken a one-stroke lead at the RBC Heritage after a remarkable second round. He carded an impressive eight-under-par 63, thanks to eight birdies, including a notable 36-foot putt on the 15th hole, all without a single bogey at Hilton Head. Starting the day in a six-way tie for third after an opening round of 65, Fitzpatrick, the 2022 US Open champion, now tops the leaderboard with a total of 14 under par at the midpoint of the tournament. Viktor Hovland of Norway trails closely behind, retaining his second-place position with a score of 65 in the second round. Meanwhile, overnight leader Ludvig Aberg slipped to a joint-fourth position after encountering three bogeys on the back nine. Robert MacIntyre from Scotland finished the day six strokes behind Fitzpatrick, achieving a score of 68, while the world's number one golfer, Scottie Scheffler, is seven shots off the lead after carding a 67.
