England's impressive boxing campaign at the Commonwealth Games saw Ruby White's 68-fight unbeaten streak come to an end, as she lost to India's Sakshi Chaudhary in the women's 51kg final. Chaudhary won by a unanimous 5-0 decision. White, just 19, had to settle for the silver medal in a match that pitted youth against experience. Chantelle Reid also took home silver in the women's 70kg category, losing to India's Arundhati Choudhary by unanimous decision.

Dimeji Shittu suffered a tough loss to India's Ankush Panghal, with the Englishman being deducted two costly points, resulting in a 4-1 split decision defeat. However, England's Sacha Hickey claimed her first major senior medal with a clean sweep 5-0 unanimous decision victory over Northern Ireland's Kaci Rock. Patris Mughalzai won the men's equivalent, defeating Australian Jacob Cassar. Thomas had beaten the grandson of former Ugandan President Idi Amin on his way to the final. Following his win, Thomas expressed satisfaction with his performance, stating, 'I got the job done, so I'm happy.' The 23-year-old from the Holy Trinity club in Belfast had turned down an interview with the show's producers to focus on boxing. McConnell emerged victorious in a intense match against Orlando Holley-Sotomi of Wales and stated that he would not reconsider applying for the show, instead choosing to pursue his Olympic dreams. McConnell said, 'If I hadn't made it through the early rounds, maybe I'd have thought I didn't make the right decision, but I've got the gold medal now.' He added, 'He put me under a lot of pressure, but I have a lot of belief in myself.
