Git Maker made a significant error nearly a mile from the finish but managed to recover and secure second place, beating favorite Kim Roque by a narrow margin.
This victory served as a consolation for Hobbs and White, who had finished second in the Scottish Champion Hurdle with Captain Hugo earlier in the day. The £112,000 prize marked a significant win for the Somerset-based team.
