Hamilton Adapts Strategy to Challenge Mercedes in Chinese Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton congratulated Kimi Antonelli on becoming the youngest driver to secure a Grand Prix pole position. Hamilton then shifted his focus to developing a new strategy to improve his performance in the upcoming full-length race. The 19-year-old Antonelli broke Sebastian Vettel's record by 20 months, and Hamilton praised the young driver's achievement. Hamilton qualified third and acknowledged that he needs to adopt a different approach to maintain his pace throughout the race. Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff expressed his satisfaction with Antonelli's performance, saying 'the kid did good today.' Hamilton aims to learn from his experience in the Shanghai Sprint and find a way to bridge the gap with the leading Mercedes drivers. Ferrari has not won a Grand Prix since October 2024, and Hamilton is aware of the challenge ahead but remains hopeful that he can find a way to defeat the Mercedes team.
