The International Cricket Council has confirmed a 10% increase in the total prize fund for the Women's T20 World Cup 2026, set to take place in England and Wales. The winning team will receive $2.34m, while the runners-up will take home $1.17m. All participating teams are guaranteed a minimum of $247,500, more than double the amount from 2024. The event will feature 12 teams, including Australia, Bangladesh, India, and New Zealand, competing in 33 matches across 24 days. The ICC CEO, Sanjog Gupta, stated that the growth of women's cricket continues to accelerate, with increased investment and opportunity reflecting the growing influence of female athletes.
