As a two-weight world titlist and a pioneer of British heavyweight boxing, Haye believes this highly anticipated bout is essential for both fighters' legacies. Haye emphasized that Joshua and Fury need each other to cement their places in boxing history, stressing that they must fight to prove who is the better boxer. In a recent interview with Sky Sports, Haye stated, "This is the biggest fight they could possibly have, and they should be pushing for it. They both need each other for different reasons, primarily to prove they were the best of their era."
