Baumgardner Sets Sights on Taylor, Serrano, and Mayer

Alycia Baumgardner is on the hunt for the sport's most high-profile bouts, with Katie Taylor, Amanda Serrano, and Mikaela Mayer firmly in her sights. The unified super-featherweight champion has expressed her desire to face these boxing legends, stating, 'Those are all three great fights. Let's get them all.' Baumgardner's priority is to take on these top fighters, rather than Britain's unified lightweight world champion Caroline Dubois, whom she believes is not yet ready for a showdown. 'I am chasing the biggest fights. Dubois is not ready. Is she hungry? Absolutely. Am I ducking smoke? No. I am aligned with the biggest fights possible, and that fight will happen when it happens,' Baumgardner said. First, she must defend her WBA, WBO, and IBF super-featherweight titles against Bo Mi Re Shin at the Madison Square Garden Theater in New York. Baumgardner is confident in her abilities, saying, 'One thing about Bo is that she's coming to fight. She is a warrior, just as I know she is. But I'm hungrier, and I'm meaner, and I'm just sharper.' Shin, however, is determined to ruin Baumgardner's plans, stating, 'Alycia was my goal. She has always been, but now it's time to take her belts for me.' The highly anticipated bout between Baumgardner and Shin will be broadcast live on Sky Sports from 3am on Saturday morning.
