Canadian boxer Ryan Rozicki, known for his formidable punching power, has inked a multi-fight agreement with Zuffa Boxing. Rozicki, also known as 'The Bruiser', is the newest addition to Zuffa's impressive cruiserweight lineup, which already boasts champion Jai Opetaia, former world champion Chris Billam-Smith, and top contender Brandon Glanton.
With 21 professional wins under his belt, all but one of which were achieved by knockout, Rozicki has proven himself to be a force to be reckoned with in the ring. His only loss came in 2021 at the hands of Oscar Rivas, a seasoned heavyweight contender who has only been defeated by Dillian Whyte. Since then, Rozicki has been on a nine-fight winning streak, frequently fighting in front of sold-out crowds in his native Nova Scotia.
In 2024, he competed for the WBC interim title, drawing with Yamil Alberto Peralta in their rematch. One of his notable victories came when he defeated Olanrewaju Durodola, who had previously gone the distance with Richard Riakporhe and Ilunga Makabu in a world title fight. Rozicki's most recent bout took place in March, where he secured a second-round knockout over Gerardo Mellado.
'I'm looking forward to this new chapter and the opportunity to be part of what Zuffa is building,' Rozicki stated. 'My team has done a fantastic job in getting me to this point, and I'm ready to make a statement on this platform.' The details of Rozicki's Zuffa Boxing debut are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
