Benn Sets Sights on Garcia, but Other Boxing Stars Are Eager for a Fight

Conor Benn has stated that a WBC title match against Ryan Garcia is his top priority, but he has also revealed that several other prominent boxers are now seeking to face him in the ring. Following his victory over Regis Prograis at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Benn signed a multi-year, multi-fight deal with Zuffa Boxing. As the mandatory challenger for Garcia's WBC welterweight title, Benn believes he has numerous options for his next bout. 'Of course, the Garcia fight is the priority, but I have plenty of other options,' Benn said. 'There are many big-name fighters calling me out, and if Ryan doesn't want the fight, there are plenty of other opportunities available.' Benn's recent win over Prograis has sparked interest from various fighters, with many now eager to face him. He noted that after his rematch win over Chris Eubank Jr, there was little interest from other fighters, but his performance against Prograis has changed the situation. 'It's amusing to see all these fighters calling me out after the Prograis fight,' Benn said. 'No one was interested in facing me after the Eubank fight, but now they're all eager for a bout.' Zuffa Boxing's head, Dana White, is open to arranging a 'fun' fight between Benn and Garcia, and the organization has also signed former WBO cruiserweight champion Chris Billam-Smith. White plans to recruit more British talent in the coming weeks, including both established names and young, up-and-coming fighters.
