Fitzpatrick Takes the Lead After Round Two of the RBC Heritage

Matt Fitzpatrick has taken a one-stroke lead at the RBC Heritage after posting an impressive eight-under-par 63 on the second day. The English golfer, who won the 2022 US Open, had a flawless round with eight birdies, including a notable 36-foot putt on the 15th hole, at the Hilton Head course. Fitzpatrick started the day in a six-way tie for third place following his opening round of 65, but now sits at the top of the leaderboard with a 14-under-par score at the halfway point. Norway's Viktor Hovland remains in second place, just one shot behind Fitzpatrick, after scoring 65 in the second round. Meanwhile, overnight leader Ludvig Aberg slipped to joint-fourth position after encountering three bogeys on the back nine. Scotland's Robert MacIntyre is six shots behind Fitzpatrick after scoring a 68, while the world's number one golfer, Scottie Scheffler, carded a 67 and is seven shots off the lead.
