Hull KR Dominates Toulouse with Eight Tries, While Leigh Secures Crucial Win Over York

Hull KR delivered a resounding performance, scoring eight tries to secure a convincing 46-0 win over Toulouse in the Betfred Super League, marking their third consecutive victory. The visitors took an early lead with Elliot Minchella's try, and despite having another attempt disallowed, they continued to dominate. Rhyse Martin's try extended their lead to 12-0 after Toulouse failed to handle a high kick from Mikey Lewis. The Rovers doubled their score with tries on either side of halftime, courtesy of Tyrone May and Joe Burgess. The hosts struggled to contain Hull KR's relentless attack, conceding a fifth try as Lewis broke through the defense and set up Jez Litten for an easy score. Peta Hiku intercepted a pass and ran the length of the field to score another try, showcasing the away team's ruthless efficiency. Lewis's quality shone through as he darted through the line once more, setting up Jai Whitbread for their seventh try, before Burgess added his second to cap off a dominant display. Meanwhile, Leigh returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 18-6 victory over York. Adrian Lam's side had won only one of their last four matches but managed to come out on top at the LNER Community Stadium. Gareth O'Brien and Xavier Va'a traded tries in the first half, with Adam Cook's penalty giving the visitors an 8-6 lead at halftime. Josh Charnley and Jacob Alick-Wiencke crossed in the second half to help Leigh grind out the win and climb to 10th in the table. The victory was a welcome boost for Leigh, who had been struggling with injuries but welcomed back some of their key players, including AJ Towse, who made a notable impact on his return to his boyhood club.
