Doku Sounds Warning to Arsenal: 'Title Race Is On'

Manchester City's Jeremy Doku has issued a warning to league leaders Arsenal, stating that the 'title race is on' ahead of their upcoming showdown at the Etihad. Following City's 3-0 win over Chelsea, Doku expressed his belief in his team's chances, saying, 'I would be crazy if I didn't believe. I believe the race is on.' City's victory came after Arsenal's loss to Bournemouth, allowing City to close the gap at the top to six points with a game in hand. Doku, who scored his first goal since November, emphasized the importance of the upcoming match, saying, 'If we win, it's a big punch towards them. If we lose, it's in their hands and we have to wait for them to lose.' City manager Pep Guardiola also shared his thoughts, recalling how his team was seen as the underdog ahead of the Carabao Cup final against Arsenal last month. Since then, City has gone on to beat Arsenal 2-0, thrash Liverpool 4-0 in the FA Cup, and close the gap at the top of the league. Guardiola acknowledged the respect he has for Arsenal, saying, 'They have been the best team in this country, in Europe, so far. Beating Arsenal once is so difficult, imagine beating them twice in a few weeks.'
