Thomas Partey Denies New Rape Allegations

Ex-Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has entered not guilty pleas to two fresh allegations of rape. The 32-year-old appeared in court to deny raping a woman in London in December 2020. Partey, who now plays for Villarreal, was previously charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, which he also denied. The new charges were announced in February, and a judge has decided that all allegations will be tried together. However, this may delay the trial until January next year. In total, Partey has denied seven counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, relating to allegations from four women. He was granted bail with the condition that he does not contact the alleged victims. The case is set for a pre-trial hearing on May 14, and a decision on the trial date will be made once the judge is confirmed.
