Canadian Cruiserweight Ryan Rozicki Joins Zuffa Boxing Roster
Canadian boxer Ryan Rozicki, known for his formidable punching power, has inked a multi-fight contract with Zuffa Boxing. Rozicki, nicknamed 'The Bruiser', bolsters the company's cruiserweight division, which already boasts an impressive lineup including champion Jai Opetaia, former titleholder Chris Billam-Smith, and top contender Brandon Glanton. With 21 professional wins under his belt, all but one by knockout, Rozicki has established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the ring. His only loss came at the hands of seasoned heavyweight contender Oscar Rivas in 2021. However, Rozicki has since gone unbeaten in nine consecutive fights, often competing in front of packed crowds in Nova Scotia. Notably, he fought to a draw against Yamil Alberto Peralta in a 2024 WBC interim title rematch. Rozicki's impressive resume also includes a victory over Olanrewaju Durodola, who had previously gone the distance with notable boxers Richard Riakporhe and Ilunga Makabu. In his most recent bout, Rozicki secured a second-round knockout over Gerardo Mellado in March. Expressing his enthusiasm for the new partnership, Rozicki stated, 'I'm eager to embark on this new chapter and be a part of Zuffa's vision.' He added, 'My team has worked tirelessly to get me to this point, and I'm confident that I have the support I need to succeed at the highest level.' Rozicki's debut fight with Zuffa Boxing is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
