MVP Set to Provide Opponent for Katie Taylor's Final Fight at Croke Park
Katie Taylor, an Olympic gold medalist and two-weight undisputed champion, is planning her final career fight at Croke Park in Dublin, and Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) could provide the opponent. MVP has staged Taylor's last two contests in her epic trilogy with Amanda Serrano. With the strongest roster in women's boxing, MVP is well-positioned to offer Taylor a suitable opponent for her swansong. Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of MVP, has suggested Caroline Dubois as a potential opponent for Taylor's last dance. Alternatively, the winner of Holly Holm's WBA lightweight title fight with Stephanie Han could also be a suitable opponent. Bidarian notes that Han's story is phenomenal, as a mother and full-time police officer who has made more money than she thought possible in the past 12 months. MVP is keen to work with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing, which represents Taylor, to stage the Croke Park event. Hearn has ruled out Taylor boxing on the undercard of Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua, which has also been mooted for Croke Park, and is instead focused on making Taylor's final fight a success.
