Sky Sports Racing ambassador Hollie Doyle will be competing at the Newmarket Craven meeting, with a notable ride on the promising Derby candidate Wareeth in the Listed Feilden Stakes. This week, Wareeth, trained by Archie Watson, will participate in the Listed Feilden Stakes, marking a significant step up in class after his impressive 14-length victory in a novice race at Newcastle last month.
Although Wareeth does not currently hold a Derby entry, he has shown great promise since his debut. The extra furlong in the Feilden Stakes is expected to suit him well, given his pedigree as a son of Sea The Stars. A key competitor, Aidan O'Brien's Isaac Newton, boasts experience with a maiden win at Goodwood and a fourth-place finish in the Group 1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud, and he is officially rated at 106.
Another contender, Poseidon's Warrior, will be making the transition from novice company after securing a win at Goodwood. All three colts are entered in the traditional Derby trial, the Group 2 Dante at York.
In the Weatherbys With Venatour Racing Handicap, Hollie Doyle will ride ZOULU CHIEF, who has shown consistency with a win at Wolverhampton and a strong performance against Completely Random at Lingfield Park. Approaching his prime at five years old, ZOULU CHIEF is expected to deliver another notable run.
Hollie Doyle has also worked with Jane Chapple-Hyam's outsider HARLEQUIN BREEZE, who is set to participate in the Group 3 Lanwades Stud Nell Gwyn Stakes. Despite being a maiden after three starts, HARLEQUIN BREEZE has demonstrated improvement and determination. IMPOSSIBLE MISSION will need to prove his turf capabilities, receiving weight from his rivals in the National Stud Handicap.
Meanwhile, LADY FIZZ will gain valuable experience in the Molson Coors British EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes, facing fillies from prominent yards over a distance that may be on the shorter side for her. On Thursday, Hollie Doyle will ride PRINCE OF INDIA in the Zyn Abernant Stakes, a powerfully built colt who could make a significant impact in stakes sprints. With a strong comeback in the Listed Lady Wulfruna Stakes, PRINCE OF INDIA is expected to be in top form.
Hawk Mountain, a Group 1 winner, will make his return in the Group 3 Betway Craven Stakes, aiming to strengthen his Derby claims. Another notable return is Karl Burke's Boiling Point, who will participate in the Group 3 Betway Earl Of Sefton Stakes, seeking to establish himself as a genuine Pattern performer this season.
