Augusta National Golf Tournament: Final Standings

The final leaderboard for the Masters golf tournament, the first major of the year, is now available. The event, held at Augusta National in Georgia, saw Rory McIlroy successfully defend his title. McIlroy made history by becoming the first player to achieve this feat since Tiger Woods. He finished one stroke ahead of Scottie Scheffler, the world's number one player, who was the pre-tournament favorite despite not having a top-10 finish in his last three PGA Tour events. Tyrrell Hatton, Justin Rose, Cameron Young, and Russell Henley tied for third place. The top 10 was rounded out by Collin Morikawa, Sam Burns, Max Homa, and Xander Schauffele. The Masters is the first of four majors in men's golf, followed by the PGA Championship, the US Open, and the Open Championship. The PGA Tour will now head to South Carolina for the RBC Heritage, where Justin Thomas will defend his title. The event will be broadcast on Sky Sports Golf, with early coverage starting at 12:30 pm and full coverage beginning at 7 pm.
