Alistair Johnston Returns to Training, Julian Araujo's Celtic Career May Be Over

Celtic's long-term absentee Alistair Johnston has resumed training, while loan defender Julian Araujo may have played his final game for the club due to a recurring thigh issue. Johnston, a Canada right-back, has been sidelined since October with a hamstring injury but has rejoined his teammates ahead of the Scottish Premiership match against St Mirren. Araujo, on the other hand, has suffered a setback in his recovery and may not feature for Celtic again this season. 'He trained with the team today, which was very encouraging,' said Celtic manager Martin O'Neill. 'If he comes through today and next week's training, we could see him back in action soon.' Regarding Araujo, O'Neill stated, 'Julian re-injured himself under supervision at Bournemouth, which was a significant blow. I've only found out today, and I don't think we will see him for the rest of the season.' Colby Donovan will miss Saturday's game with a hamstring injury, but O'Neill confirmed he is recovering well. The Celtic manager also welcomed the return of the Green Brigade, the team's ultras group, after a five-month ban was lifted. O'Neill expressed his delight at the strong support and hopes it will give the team a boost as they chase Hearts and Rangers at the top of the table.
