Seven Golfers Have a Real Shot at the Masters Title, Including Rose and Lowry

Three-time Masters champion Sir Nick Faldo believes seven golfers have a genuine chance to win the tournament. Following a thrilling Saturday at Augusta National, six players are within four shots of co-leaders Rory McIlroy and Cameron Young. If the scope is broadened to six shots, 12 players are within striking distance. McIlroy, the defending champion, struggled off the tee on Saturday, shooting a one-over 73. "I think Rory's game is just a little inconsistent, as we saw today," Faldo said. "If he can find the switch and correct it, then he's got a chance to do something special." Faldo also praised Cam Young, saying, "The way he's just stormed his way through the week after a bad start, he's obviously got a lot of confidence from winning The Players. There's less negativity in his game." Shane Lowry, Jason Day, and Justin Rose are also in contention. Rose is on a mission after finishing as a runner-up last year. Scottie Scheffler, the world No 1, carded a joint-lowest round of 65 on Saturday to catapult himself into contention.
