Golf legends Gary Player and Jack Nicklaus have expressed their support for Tiger Woods, who is currently absent from The Masters due to health issues. Woods, a 15-time major champion, has been dealing with the aftermath of a recent car accident and is seeking treatment. Player, who has been following Woods' journey, sympathizes with his struggles but advises him to refrain from driving, citing the dangers of operating a vehicle while on medication. 'If I or anyone in this room had to endure the kind of pain Tiger has been experiencing, we would understand his need for relief,' Player said. 'However, I strongly advise him against driving, as it poses a significant risk to himself and others.' Nicklaus also shared his well-wishes for Woods, stating, 'Golf needs him, and we'd love to have him back.' Augusta National chairman Fred Ridley reiterated the organization's support for Woods' decision to prioritize his health and well-being. Woods has only participated in 11 official tournaments since November 2020 and has not made a competitive appearance since The Open in July 2024.
