This Saturday promises to be an exciting day of flat racing, with events from Deauville, Doncaster, Lingfield, Newbury, and Ripon being broadcast live on Sky Sports Racing. The highlight of the day is the highly competitive Visit Malta Hungerford Stakes at Newbury, where Never So Brave and Coppull are among the top contenders. Never So Brave had a successful campaign last year, with victories in the Buckingham Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot, the Summer Mile, and the City Of York.
Although he has not won in four outings this year, he has been competing against strong opponents and performed well in the Sussex Stakes. Coppull, on the other hand, is relatively new to racing and delivered an impressive performance in the July Cup, finishing a close fourth. He will be racing at seven furlongs for the first time and may still have more to offer.
Other notable horses in the race include Symbol Of Honour, who has a good record at Newbury, and Extremely Zain, who remains relatively unexposed and has the potential to improve. Dubai Honour will be competing in the Highclere Thoroughbred Racing Geoffrey Freer Stakes, marking his return to racing. With 12 wins from 37 starts and over £5 million in earnings, he is a highly accomplished horse.
Mount Atlas and Tabletalk will also be racing, having clashed three times before, with Mount Atlas emerging victorious on two occasions. Gamrai, who was recently purchased by Victorious Forever, may still have room for improvement, while Rebel Rocket, the only three-year-old in the field, will be taking on a new challenge. The William Hill/MND Association Great St Wilfrid Handicap promises to be an exciting event, with Fast Track Harry, Lord Roxby, and Dark Cloud Rising among the top contenders.
Fast Track Harry has a good chance of winning, having already won at this mark and performed well behind Amazing Journey. Lord Roxby arrives at the event on the back of a course and distance success, where he defeated Dark Cloud Rising. The day's racing will also feature the Group Two Prix Alec Head, the Group Two Prix Guillaume d'Ornano, and the Group Three Prix de Lieurey, among other events.
