Shanahan has a record of 91-72 in the regular season and playoffs for the 49ers, placing him third in the franchise's history in terms of wins, behind George Seifert and Bill Walsh. Last season, despite dealing with significant injuries, the team managed to finish 12-5 in the regular season and win a playoff game, with Shanahan finishing fifth in the voting for the AP NFL Coach of the Year.
