Martagny, who represents the same owners as Leffard, has the most experience in the field, with two wins under his belt. Lady Mariko, who won her last start at Kempton, will attempt to defy a 6lb rise in the weights and secure her fourth career victory.
However, the handicapper has given her a significant rise in the weights, from 74 to 80, making her task more challenging. The rest of the field is out of form, but Bridget's View, rated 86, has some interesting form, having beaten Stateira, who later won at the All-Weather Finals Day. The Follow @attheraces On Instagram Handicap is the third race on the card and features Eternal Solace, who will face 10 rivals.
This daughter of Tasleet has only run eight times, winning two of those, including a victory over today's course and distance. She is in good form, having finished second in the All-Weather 3-Year-Old Championships at Newcastle earlier this month. Bone Marra, who is up 5lb for his win at Wolverhampton in November, is expected to progress and will be a danger. Comprador, a full-brother to Trillium, who won the Flying Childers Stakes at Doncaster, will make his handicap debut and is of interest.
