Thomas Partey Pleads Not Guilty to Additional Rape Allegations

Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has entered not guilty pleas to two new allegations of rape. The 32-year-old appeared in court on Monday to deny the allegations, which stem from an incident in December 2020. Partey had previously been charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, to which he also pleaded not guilty. The new allegations bring the total number of charges against him to seven counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, related to allegations from four different women. A trial date has been set for November, but the judge warned that it may be delayed until January due to the additional charges. Partey, who currently plays for Villarreal, is out on bail and is expected to play for Ghana in the World Cup this summer.
