Green Receives Medical Attention for Brain Hemorrhage Following Loss to Daniels
Following her defeat to Lani Daniels in a unified super-middleweight title bout, Shadasia Green underwent treatment for a brain hemorrhage. The fight, which was part of the undercard for Alycia Baumgardner vs. Bo Mi Re Shin at New York's Madison Square Garden Theater, saw Green stopped in the ninth round after a flurry of punches from Daniels. Green was removed from the ring on a stretcher and later revealed on social media that she had lost consciousness due to the brain bleed, but is currently in the ICU and on the path to recovery. Green, who previously won a unified world championship by upsetting Britain's Savannah Marshall, expressed gratitude to her supporters and promoter, Nakisa Bidarian, for their concern and assistance during her hospitalization. Her promoter, Most Valuable Promotions, also released a statement thanking the relevant authorities and medical staff for their care and support.
