Nicky Richards Seeks Continued Success at Hexham with Three Entries

Following an impressive eight-win streak, Nicky Richards is set to field three runners at Hexham for Monday's National Hunt action. Jamesieconn, chasing a four-timer, will be among the contenders in the Mick Walsh Open Ditch Handicap Chase, having previously shown a preference for the three-mile distance and good ground when winning at Carlisle. The seven-year-old has been raised 5lbs to a mark of 100, which may pose a challenge, but could still deliver under Danny McMenamin. Streamsforth Lad, despite not having secured a win in 18 starts, has shown improvement and may benefit from his current mark of 97. Meanwhile, Stuart Coltherd, with a notable profit of +298 over the past fortnight, will be saddling Rightbackatyou, who performed well behind Scottish King over the course and distance. Young Getaway will attempt to extend Nicky Richards' winning run in the Anthony Woods Electrical Lightning Bolt Handicap Chase, making his chasing debut a year after being defeated over hurdles by That One, who also makes his debut over fences. The Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore partnership will be represented by Heads Or Harps and Choose A Copper, with the former having demonstrated consistency in recent outings. Grant Wood, trained by Paul Midgley, returns to Gosforth Park, where he has enjoyed success in the past, while Wicket Keeper seeks to build on previous wins over six furlongs. Other notable entries include Paddy's Day, wearing a tongue-tie for the first time, and Albasheer, ridden by Sky Sports Racing ambassador Hollie Doyle. Gardener, who won convincingly over the course and distance last time out, is set to return for the Happy Retirement Maurice & Anne Barnes Handicap Hurdle at 4:30 pm.
