Fitzpatrick Takes the Lead After Round Two of the RBC Heritage
Matt Fitzpatrick has taken the top spot on the leaderboard after the second round of the RBC Heritage, carding an impressive eight-under-par 63. His round was highlighted by eight birdies, including a notable 36-foot putt on the 15th hole, all without a single bogey at Hilton Head. Fitzpatrick, the 2022 US Open champion, started the day in a six-way tie for third after an opening round of 65. Now, at 14 under par, he holds a one-shot lead over Norway's Viktor Hovland, who maintained his second-place position with a score of 65 in the second round. Meanwhile, overnight leader Ludvig Aberg slipped to a joint-fourth position after encountering three bogeys on the back nine. Scotland's Robert MacIntyre trails Fitzpatrick by six shots after posting a 68, and world number one Scottie Scheffler is seven shots behind the leader after carding a 67.
