McIlroy Claims Back-to-Back Masters Titles, Makes History

In a thrilling conclusion to the Masters, Rory McIlroy emerged victorious, becoming the first golfer to win consecutive Masters titles since Tiger Woods. This victory sees McIlroy join an elite group of golfers, including Jack Nicklaus, Sir Nick Faldo, and Woods, who have won consecutive editions of the Masters. McIlroy's win also marks his sixth major title, making him the 15th man in history to achieve this feat. The 36-year-old golfer avoided a repeat of last year's late stumble, where he squandered a four-shot lead, to claim his second consecutive Masters title. McIlroy's perseverance and determination paid off, as he reflected on his win, saying, 'I just can't believe I waited 17 years to get one Green Jacket and I get two in a row.' The PGA Tour now heads to South Carolina for the RBC Heritage, while the next men's major is the PGA Championship, scheduled to take place from May 14-17 at Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania.
