Southampton Leap to Fifth Place with Comeback Victory Over Derby

Southampton continued their ascent up the Championship standings with a hard-fought 2-1 comeback win over fellow playoff contenders Derby at St Mary's, extending their unbeaten streak to 17 games. Second-half strikes from Leo Scienza and Taylor Harwood-Bellis overturned Carlton Morris' early goal. The hosts began strongly, with Scienza creating an early chance for Tom Fellows, who struggled to capitalize due to a heavy first touch. Derby was forced into an early substitution, replacing the injured Bobby Clark with Oscar Fraulo. Despite this, the Rams showed determination, seeking a crucial win to bridge the gap with Southampton.
