Aaron Ramsey Announces Decision to Retire from Professional Football

Aaron Ramsey has confirmed his retirement from football, marking the end of a distinguished 20-year career. The 35-year-old made over 250 Premier League appearances for Arsenal and earned 86 caps for Wales, scoring 21 goals. Ramsey's announcement comes after his contract with Mexican side UNAM was terminated by mutual consent in October. In a statement on Instagram, Ramsey expressed his gratitude to Wales, saying it was an 'privilege' to wear the national team shirt and thanking the managers, staff, and fans for their support. He also thanked his family and the clubs he played for, including Arsenal, Juventus, and Rangers. Ramsey's retirement marks the end of a career that included three FA Cup wins with Arsenal, a Scudetto with Juventus, and a Scottish Cup medal with Rangers. He also played a key role in Wales' run to the semi-finals of Euro 2016 and started all three matches in their 2022 World Cup campaign.
