Sunrisers Leeds Retain Key Players for The Hundred 2026
Sunrisers Leeds has confirmed the retention of England cricketers Harry Brook and Brydon Carse for the upcoming 2026 edition of The Hundred. The team, previously known as Northern Superchargers, has also appointed Daniel Vettori as the head coach of its men's team. Brook and Carse, who were part of England's recent Ashes campaign and are in the provisional squad for the T20 World Cup, will be crucial to the team's success. The rebranding of the franchise follows a 100 per cent takeover by the Sun Group. Meanwhile, other teams have also made significant signings, including Trent Rockets, who have acquired the services of Nat Sciver-Brunt and Tim David. Sciver-Brunt, the most prolific batter in The Hundred's history, and David, a destructive short-form batter, will be key players for Trent Rockets. England all-rounder Alice Capsey has joined Birmingham Phoenix, bringing her experience and skills to the team. Capsey has won The Hundred twice with MI London and has been a regular member of the England side since her debut in 2022.
