Manchester United Show Interest in RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande

Manchester United are among several top clubs keeping a close eye on RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande. Although United may not necessarily pursue another winger after missing out on Antoine Semenyo to Manchester City, their interest in Diomande could escalate if other clubs make a move for him. The 19-year-old Ivory Coast international, currently at the Africa Cup of Nations with United's Amad Diallo, has also caught the attention of Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain. Reports suggesting Leipzig values Diomande at £87m are inaccurate, with his actual valuation believed to be between £52m and £61m. Diomande has impressed this season, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in 16 appearances for Leipzig. He has started both of Ivory Coast's AFCON matches and has two goals in five appearances for his country. RB Leipzig's managing director for sport, Marcel Schafer, has praised Diomande as a 'young jewel' with high potential, highlighting his ability to create chances and finish actions. The teenager has made a strong impact in his debut Bundesliga season, scoring on his Leipzig debut and netting in three consecutive appearances in October. Leipzig are open to selling Diomande for a significant profit, having paid €20m to sign him in the summer, as part of their business model of honing young talent and selling them on.
