Jake Paul Drops Out of WBA Cruiserweight Rankings Following Defeat to Anthony Joshua

Following his loss to Anthony Joshua in a heavyweight bout in Miami, Jake Paul has fallen out of the WBA cruiserweight rankings. Joshua, a former world champion, secured a sixth-round stoppage in his first fight since being defeated by Daniel Dubois in September 2024. Paul, who had previously beaten Julio Cesar Chavez and was ranked 14th in the cruiserweight division, has now been replaced by Bosnia's Edin Puhalo in the 15th spot. The American boxer suffered a broken jaw in two places during the fight but claimed to have won two rounds and 'wobbled' the former Olympic champion. In a recent podcast appearance, Paul reflected on the experience, citing the mental pressure and power of his opponent as key factors in the loss. With a professional record now standing at 12-2, Paul's only other defeat was against Tommy Fury in February 2023.
