PCP Capital Partners, a firm co-founded by Amanda Staveley and her husband Mehrdad Ghodoussi, has formally submitted an offer to purchase a 25.1 percent stake in West Ham. This development follows an earlier report by Sky News that the couple was preparing a bid for the stake, which is currently owned by the family of the late David Gold. According to sources, the club's existing investors have been given the opportunity to match the offer. Meanwhile, Daniel Kretinsky, who increased his share in the club earlier this year, remains interested in a potential deal but is hesitant to acquire the entire Gold-owned stake, as it would grant him majority ownership.

The Gold family is expected to release a statement if an agreement is reached, out of respect for the other shareholders. PCP Capital Partners will not be making any public comments during the negotiation period. The firm has previously engaged in discussions with several Premier League clubs, including Tottenham, but is now focused on West Ham.

The club has experienced a tumultuous summer, marked by relegation from the Premier League, speculation surrounding the future of head coach Nuno Espirito Santo, and the departure of joint-chairman David Sullivan amid allegations of misconduct. In terms of transfers, West Ham has seen the departure of key players such as Matheus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville, but has managed to retain captain Jarrod Bowen. The club is also reportedly in talks with Celtic to acquire midfielder Arne Engels.
