McLaren's Lando Norris delivered a promising performance in the final practice session for the Hungarian Grand Prix, outpacing Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari's Kimi Antonelli in his upgraded car. Norris's impressive time of 1:17.939 secured him the top spot, 0.117s ahead of Hamilton. Ferrari had dominated the opening day's practice but were surpassed by the reigning world champions in the final hour. Charles Leclerc finished fourth, 0.3s off the pace, while McLaren's Oscar Piastri was fifth.
Max Verstappen and Isack Hadjar of Red Bull struggled, finishing seventh and eighth-fastest respectively. The midfield battle is expected to be led by Racing Bulls and Audi, with Liam Lawson taking ninth ahead of Nico Hulkenberg in 10th.
Meanwhile, Cadillac faced issues with a brake fire causing Sergio Perez to pull up, and Aston Martin's Lance Stroll returned to the track after missing Friday's second session due to a rear-suspension failure.
