England's Nat Sciver-Brunt will not participate in the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand due to a minor tear in her left calf, sustained during a match between The Blaze and Warwickshire. As a precaution, Vice-Captain Charlie Dean will take over as captain, and Maia Bouchier has been added to the squad as a batting cover. Sciver-Brunt had played a full game but experienced discomfort afterwards, leading to a scan that confirmed the injury.
She has been advised to rest, with further assessments planned. Her availability for the upcoming Vitality IT20 matches will be determined later. In the meantime, Charlie Dean will lead the team in the ODI series.
