According to Sky Sports Tennis analyst Laura Robson, British tennis player Jack Draper should avoid competing in the French Open without adequate preparation. Draper recently withdrew from upcoming ATP events in Madrid and Rome due to a knee injury. He had also retired from the Barcelona Open first-round match against Tomas Martin Etcheverry. Despite the setback, Draper aims to participate in the French Open, targeting events in Hamburg or Geneva to get some much-needed practice.
Robson emphasized that Draper must not enter the competition 'undercooked,' as it may negatively impact his performance. Meanwhile, fellow British player Emma Raducanu has also withdrawn from the Madrid Open as she continues her recovery from post-viral symptoms. Raducanu is currently back in training and hopes to compete in Rome at the start of May.
