Both drivers have struggled, qualifying on the back row at Suzuka, four seconds off the pace. Brundle emphasized that the team's issues, including engine vibrations, will be difficult to resolve in the short term, given the constraints of the F1 calendar and cost caps.
The team is working to address these problems, with a potential cure for the engine vibrations and upgrades to the AMR26 chassis in the pipeline. However, Brundle and fellow commentator David Croft believe that significant improvements are unlikely until 2027, with the team's current performance gap to the front-runners being substantial.
