Six-Week Suspension Given to Sale Hooker Jibulu for Biting Incident

Sale Sharks' hooker, Nathan Jibulu, has been handed a six-week suspension after being found guilty of biting Harlequins' prop, Will Hobson, during their recent Champions Cup match. The biting incident took place in the 69th minute of the game at Twickenham Stoop on Saturday, where Sale secured a 26-17 victory over Harlequins. Jibulu, aged 23, faced a potential 12-week ban but received a reduced sentence due to his admission of guilt, expression of remorse, and his clean disciplinary record. A statement released by Sale, who are set to face Leinster in the Champions Cup quarter-finals, stated: "Nathan has acknowledged his wrongdoing and both the club and player recognize that his behavior was unacceptable. "The club and its players are committed to upholding the values of the sport and understand that such actions have no place in rugby or society as a whole. "While the club will be conducting its own disciplinary proceedings, we will continue to provide Nathan with our full support during this challenging time."
