A minute of silence will be observed before the start of Sunday's second four-hour race, following the passing of driver Juha Miettinen, who died after a multi-car accident caused Saturday's race to be suspended. Verstappen was among those paying tribute to the 66-year-old. With the F1 schedule interrupted in April due to the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix, Verstappen has added the NLS4 and NLS5 races to his expanding GT3 calendar. Teaming up with seasoned endurance driver Lucas Auer, nephew of former F1 driver Gerhard Berger, in the Mercedes-AMG GT3 car for Verstappen Racing, he will compete in a 37-strong GT3 field at the Nurburgring Langstrecken-Serie. He previously won on his debut last September, sharing a Ferrari 296 GT3 car with Britain's Chris Lulham, and again finished first last month before being disqualified due to exceeding the permitted tyre allocation.
