Cyrus Pattinson is on the path to redemption as he prepares for his upcoming fight in Newcastle, determined to revive his boxing career. A former top amateur boxer, Pattinson was just one win shy of qualifying for the 2016 Olympics.
He turned pro in 2021, winning his first six bouts and gaining a significant following in the North East. Despite facing setbacks, including a loss to Conah Walker in 2023 and struggling with a severe eye injury, Pattinson has persevered.
With the guidance of trainer Billy Nelson, he has secured three consecutive victories and is now set to face Tunde Segun Adeyemi at the Vertu Motors Arena. Pattinson reflects on his journey, saying, 'I was at rock bottom, but I've always lived by the motto of getting through one more day.' He aims to target the British and Commonwealth welterweight titles after his next fight, with his trainer expressing confidence in his ability to compete at the domestic and European levels.
Pattinson remains focused on his immediate goal, stating, '100 per cent my focus is on Saturday, but long-term, I'd love to win the British and Commonwealth belts, which I know I'm capable of winning.'
