Bournemouth have finalized an agreement to appoint Marco Rose as the new manager, succeeding Andoni Iraola. Although Rose will not officially take over until summer, the deal allows both the incoming manager and the club to plan ahead for next season. Iraola recently announced his departure from the club after his contract expires, ending his three-year tenure. Following Iraola's announcement, Sky Sports News reported that Rose, the former RB Leipzig boss, was the top candidate to replace him due to their similar football philosophies.
The 49-year-old Rose has been out of management since being dismissed by RB Leipzig in March 2025. He is known for his footballing philosophy, which emphasizes "emotion, hunger, and being active." The club is currently working on completing Rose's paperwork and work visa, as well as discussing the composition of his backroom team. With Rose's experience in winning silverware and competing in the Champions League, Bournemouth is looking to take the next step in pursuing trophies and European competition.
