David Haye Urges Fury and Joshua to Settle the Score
According to former world heavyweight champion David Haye, the time has come for Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury to finally face each other in the ring. As a two-weight world titlist and a star of British heavyweight boxing, Haye believes that this highly anticipated fight is crucial for both boxers' legacies. Haye stated, "They both need each other, for their own legacies, different reasons. They both need to say Anthony Joshua was in the same era as Tyson Fury, vice versa, and they battled it out to figure out who won." Both Fury and Joshua have recently lost their world titles to Oleksandr Usyk, and talks are ongoing for them to fight this year. Despite acknowledging that both boxers are past their prime, Haye thinks that this fight could be their commercial peak, potentially earning them more money than they would have in their prime. Fury's recent 12 rounds with Arslanbek Makhmudov could be the perfect preparation for his upcoming fight against Joshua, as Makhmudov's dimensions and fighting style are similar to Joshua's.
