Fitzpatrick Takes the Lead After Round Two of the RBC Heritage
Matt Fitzpatrick has taken the lead at the RBC Heritage after the second round, carding an impressive eight-under-par 63 to go one shot clear at the top of the leaderboard. The English golfer, who won the US Open in 2022, had a flawless round with eight birdies, including a notable 36-foot putt on the 15th hole. Fitzpatrick started the day in a six-way tie for third place after an opening round of 65 but now sits at 14 under par. Norway's Viktor Hovland is one stroke behind in second place, having carded a 65 in the second round. Meanwhile, overnight leader Ludvig Aberg has dropped to joint fourth after a difficult back nine that included three bogeys. Scotland's Robert MacIntyre is six shots behind Fitzpatrick, while world number one Scottie Scheffler is seven shots off the pace after a 67.
