Double Injury Setback for England in Women's Six Nations
A double blow has hit England's Women's Six Nations campaign with the loss of Morwenna Talling and Natasha Hunt due to injury. Both players suffered leg injuries during the 33-12 victory over Ireland at Allianz Stadium. Lock Talling was forced off the pitch after 43 minutes, while scrum-half Hunt's stint was even shorter, lasting just 13 minutes from the bench. This comes as a significant setback, especially considering Talling is the latest second-row player to be ruled out, following the withdrawal of Zoe Stratford, Abbie Ward, and Rosie Galligan due to pregnancy. England head coach John Mitchell expressed his adaptability, stating the team might rely heavily on back-rowers for the remainder of the competition. Talling and Hunt will undergo specialist consultations before starting rehabilitation at their respective clubs. In response to these injuries, Sydney Gregson and newcomer Haidee Head have joined the squad in preparation for the upcoming match against Scotland.
