Conor Benn Eyes Garcia Fight, But Other Big Names Are Also Calling
Conor Benn has stated that a WBC title fight against Ryan Garcia is his top priority, but he also claims that other prominent fighters are now eager to face him. Benn recently signed a multi-year, multi-fight deal with Zuffa Boxing after defeating Regis Prograis at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. As the mandatory challenger for Garcia's WBC welterweight title, Benn believes he has numerous options for his next fight. He said, 'Of course, the Garcia fight is the priority, but I have plenty of other options.' Benn also mentioned that many fighters are now calling him out, and if Garcia does not want to fight, he has other opportunities. The 29-year-old fighter, who avenged his only loss against Chris Eubank Jr in November, has been amused by the reaction to his points victory over Prograis. He noted that no one was calling him out after his second Eubank fight, but now many fighters are eager to face him. Benn believes that his recent performance has shown his character and discipline, and he is ready for his next fight. Zuffa Boxing head Dana White is also open to making a fight between Benn and Garcia, stating that he wants to make the biggest fights possible.
