Mercedes Working Behind the Scenes to Enhance Race Starts

According to George Russell, the Mercedes team is diligently working to improve their race starts, a weakness they've been facing, ahead of the Formula 1 season's resumption in Miami. Despite achieving four front-row lockouts in the first three Grands Prix and Sprint, neither Russell nor his teammate has managed to lead after the opening lap. The team has been focusing on analyzing data to rectify this flaw. Ferrari has shown exceptional starting performance this season, attributed to their compact turbo, which enables quicker spin-up times. Russell emphasized that although practice opportunities for starts are limited, the team has been utilizing simulator days to analyze the initial three races and prepare for the upcoming ones. With the return of the season, featuring two sprint races in Miami and Montreal, the team is working diligently to enhance their performance.
