Benn Prioritizes Garcia Fight, But Other Top Contenders Are Eager for a Bout

Conor Benn has stated that his primary focus is on securing a WBC title fight against Ryan Garcia, but he has also revealed that several other prominent fighters are now seeking to face him in the ring. Benn recently signed a multi-year, multi-fight deal with Zuffa Boxing, following his successful debut with the company, where he defeated Regis Prograis on the undercard of the Tyson Fury event at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. As the mandatory challenger for Garcia's WBC welterweight title, Benn believes he has a range of elite opponents to choose from. 'Getting the Garcia fight done is my top priority, but I have plenty of other options,' Benn said in an interview with Sky Sports. 'Many big-name fighters are reaching out to me for a fight. If Garcia is not interested, there are plenty of other opportunities available.' Benn, who avenged his only loss by defeating Chris Eubank Jr in a middleweight rematch last November, has been amused by the reaction to his points victory over two-time world champion Prograis. 'It's funny to see all these fighters calling me out after my win over Prograis, when nobody was interested in fighting me after my second fight against Eubank,' Benn said. 'They've seen me go the distance with Prograis at 150lbs and now they're eager to face me.' Dana White, the head of Zuffa Boxing, is open to organizing a 'fun' fight between Benn and Garcia. 'We're about making the biggest and most exciting fights possible,' White said. 'All the fighters who have signed with us share this vision.' Zuffa Boxing has also announced the signing of former WBO cruiserweight champion Chris Billam-Smith, and White expects to recruit more top British fighters in the coming weeks.
